Replacement coil measurement worksheet
Measurement guide, not a manufacturing drawing
Record the actual coil. All example geometry is illustrative, not to scale, and has no product dimensions. Leave unknown values blank. A manufacturer must verify the measurements and approve a drawing before fabrication.
You can fill this sheet on screen or by hand. Entries remain in this browser tab; nothing is submitted. Print or save before closing the tab.
1 / Identify the coil and the observer
Solid outline: complete envelope, including projections. Shaded block: finned area. Dashed lines and P: illustrative measurement references, not hidden pipes or a hydraulic circuit.
O = lower-left front envelope datum. Dimensions A/B/C include all projections. Finned dimensions Wf/Hf exclude the casing and headers. Use the same photographed datum for all offsets.
2 / Dimensions and connection datum
Enter actual measurements in mm. Do not measure this illustration. Xp/Yp/Zp refer to one identified connection axis; repeat for each actual connection.
| Code | What to measure | Measured, mm |
|---|---|---|
| A | Complete width, including projections | |
| B | Complete height, including projections | |
| C | Complete depth, including projections | |
| Wf | Finned-block width only | |
| Hf | Finned-block height only | |
| Xp | Connection axis from left envelope datum | |
| Yp | Connection axis above bottom envelope datum | |
| Zp | Connection axis behind front datum, along airflow |
P is a single example axis marker. It does not define the actual number, position, type or diameter of connections. Identify every real connection as P1, P2… on your photo or sketch; add another sheet where needed.
3 / Replacement requirements and access
4 / Attach the source evidence
Before manufacture
Reconcile your measurements with the manufacturer's drawing. Confirm materials, pressure/duty, all connections, mounting and access. This worksheet neither sizes a coil nor approves interchangeability, capacity or fabrication.
